How to release disk space on a Stratum-1

Hello,

what are the recommended strategies to release space on a Stratum-1 host?
Running Garbage Collection would help, assuming GC is enabled on the Stratum-0?
If not, deleting and re-snapshotting repos?
Something different?

BTW, do you confirm that running GC on the Stratum-1 only works if it is also being used on the Stratum-0?
