I noticed that the installation packages for macOS are not signed. This is really sub-optimal. Please get in contact with CERN Mac Support to find a way to properly sign the cvmfs installer packages for macOS.

Yes, that’s a good suggestion. The situation on macos is a headache due to the uncertainty around kernel extensions, which is why we held off on doing this, but it still looks like FSKit will still take some time to arrive.
Yes, the procedure to install a kext is quite inconvenient, as is the fact that many tools have different options than under linux, but signing the packages also provides extra assurance for the users. And for signing it does not matter whether you build against Fuse-t or macFuse.
I would really appreciate some effort for getting the packages signed. It’s not good for CERN’s reputation that it still distributes unsigned packages.
